US President-elect Donald Trump said that during his term, his administration would build “Safe Zones” to try to help civilians caught up in Syria’s bloody conflict.

The proclamation was made by Donald Trump himself, during a Christmas Rally in Hershey PA. The president-elect says this will be the first action the United States government will take in the ongoing war, since Syria’s own forces managed to control the situation, except for the rebel base of Aleppo.

Going deeper, the president-elect shared his thoughts with regard to the ongoing conflict in Syria, as he stated that he is deeply saddened by the conflict. Mr. Trump expressed his intentions to help those who were caught up in the war.
