Trump has provided an early Christmas gift for American Christians. Nine appointees to the Trump cabinet are proud to identify themselves as Christians.

David Murray, a pastor, and writer has mentioned that Christians in America have always prayed to God asking that men and women of God will come to power. The past few years seemed to reflect few answers to those prayers. Now with president-elect Trump in charge things are changing.

At the top of the godly leaders, list is Vice President-elect Mike Pence, who has been loud and proud about his Christianity. Pence had proclaimed that his Christian faith is “at the heart of who I am” and that “I’m a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order.”

Pence’s faith is clearly at the forefront of what he believes in.

Republican, Conservative, and Christian

Many of those in the Trump cabinet have full respect for the American family and its core values. 81% of white evangelical and born-again Christian voters have chosen to vote for the one who protected their faith best: Donald Trump.

The other Christians in the Trump cabinet include Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, Attorney General Jeff Sessions,  Housing and Urban Development’s Ben Carson, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, recently announced Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, EPA’s Scott Pruit, CIA’s Mike Pompeo, and the Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.

Some of these Cabinet members are publicly known to have displayed their Christianity openly. Jeff Sessions moonlights as a teacher in his church’s Sunday School. Rex Tillerson is known to have donated $5,000-$10,000 to the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches in 2012.

Blessings Indeed

Part of the promise of the Republican Party is it’s adherence to traditional American values. Much of these values are Christian in nature. The United States is largely Christian and in recent years, conservatives in the US have felt as if their religious freedom was being attacked.

The Trump cabinet is also pro-life in the sense that many of his members believe that abortion should be made illegal. A fetus, embryo, is still a baby with just another name. Like the majority of Christians, they believe every child is a gift from God and we should not refuse them life.

It seems, Trump is well on his way to Making America Great Again.
