Finally, the Trump administration broke their silence on Tuesday. Shockingly, several major outlets like CNN, New York Times, and Washington Post lavished praise on Kim Yo-Jong, the sister of dictator Kim Jong-Un, calling her the “Ivanka Trump” of North Korea.
While it’s hard to imagine anyone believing this year’s Winter Olympics wouldn’t be political, we suspect nobody knew it would be this bad. Most people surely never thought they’d see the day that America’s top media outlets would do the bidding of a brutal communist regime.
The joyous headlines were reminiscent of the propaganda put forth by Nazi supporters to celebrate Adolf Hitler. In similar fashion, American journalists willingly turned a blind-eye to the atrocities committed by Jong in her own country.
“Kim Jong Un’s sister is stealing the show at the Winter Olympics,” lamented CNN. Jong’s “sphinxlike smile and low-key beauty,” seemingly captivated Washington Post writers. It was a bewildering and infuriating love fest that surpasses understanding.
Trump Administration Responds
Fortunately, not everyone fell under the serpent’s spell. Regular people, unlike the left-wing media, understand very well the beast that lurks in the shadow of that “beauty.”
Speaking to the Free Beacon, a senior Trump administration official blasted the glowing reports. “With its fawning coverage of Kim Yo Jong and the Kim regime, much of the U.S. media has unintentionally become complicit in North Korea’s charm offensive,” said the official.
“The U.S. is in no way easing up pressure on the regime” added another official. “Unlike much of the mainstream media, the Trump administration is not falling for North Korea’s transparent propaganda.”
