After a careful “Legal analysis”, Vincent DeMarco, Suffolk County Sheriff announced that a judge’s order will no longer be needed in detaining a wanted illegal immigrant.

This announcement is a big shift from the sanctuary policy of the city.

DeMarco’s announcement, as he said, is not due to the incoming president Trump’s expected fight against the city’s sanctuary policy. A number of illegal immigrants have already been taken in by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement starting December.
