Tucker Carlson Takes On Anti-Trump Democratic Strategist
On a recent episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the host took on a strategist who wants an independent investigation to take place on alleged collusions between Trump’s campaign and Russia.
If nothing else, the strategist wanted to remind viewers that there is still an ongoing investigation to determine whether or not Russia interfered with the election results (because it’s best to beat a dead horse on live camera).
The strategist later argued Trump had also corrupted the FBI.
Democrats Believe Trump Has Corrupted The FBI
Mustafa Tameez said, “The President said that he actually had dinner with [former FBI Director] Comey and in that, he asked him if he wants to stay, almost like a job interview, and then he asked, “Am I being investigated?”
“Think about that. This investigation is about the Trump campaign and whether [or not] they were colluding with the last election cycle. Whether you agree with the investigation or not, the investigation is happening,” he concluded.
Tameez thinks it’s improper that Trump even asked about the investigation. “The President just fired the FBI Director sending a signal that this is the third firing he’s had of people investigation him.”
Trump Warns Comey About Potential “Tapes”
The New York Times reports:
“President Trump on Friday warned James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director he fired this week, against leaking anything negative about him, saying that Mr. Comey “better hope” that there are no secret tapes of their conversations that the president could use in retaliation.”
“The suggestion that the president may be surreptitiously recording his meetings or telephone calls added a sensational new twist at the end of a week that roiled Washington. Mr. Trump and his White House aides later refused to say whether the president tapes his visitors, something Mr. Trump was suspected of doing when he was in business in New York. “James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter.”
