The 5 Most Extreme Democrat Reactions To The FISA Memo Release

Friday was a disturbing day in politics. President Trump declassified the House Intelligence Committee’s FISA memo and the details were alarming. Just as interesting, were the responses from Democrats like James Comey and Nancy Pelosi.

So, that being said, we picked out the top five responses from Democrats. First up, is the House Minority Leader and her declaration of doom.

Constitutional Crisis

Not surprisingly, California Rep Nancy Pelosi was among the first Democrats to respond to the FISA memo release. In what has become a customary response, she blasted President Trump and Republicans for making the documents public.

“He has abdicated his responsibilities as commander in chief to protect the American people by protecting our intelligence sources and the rest,” Pelosi exclaimed. “If the president uses this fake, horrible release of distorted intelligence as an excuse to fire [Rod] Rosenstein or [Robert] Mueller, it could lead to a constitutional crisis.”

Of course, the absurdity of Pelosi’s comments could only be rivaled by James Comey.

“That’s It?”

Former FBI Director James Comey, who everyone knows is knee deep in this controversy in some way, mocked the details. Attempting to minimize the memo’s significance he took a shot at Republicans on Twitter stating, “that’s it”?

“Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen,” he tweeted. “For what?”

If you ask DNC Chairman Tom Perez, they released it to attack Robert Mueller.

The Sham

So, Chairman Perez, being clairvoyant, knew why Republicans wanted to release the FISA memo. “This sham memo was written and released for one purpose and one purpose only: to discredit Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation,” he said in a statement.

Next, the DNC chairman went on to say that the American people “deserve to know the truth” about Trump’s connections to Russia. Too bad he doesn’t feel the same about the corruption in his own party.

Although, we suspect receiving support from people like John McCain makes it easier for Democrats to ignore their own hypocrisy.

All for Putin

Yes, we know McCain isn’t a Democrat. Nevertheless, considering his opposition to everything Trump, we thought it would be okay to include his reaction. Unsurprisingly, he asserted that the GOP attacks only help Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice serve no American interests – no party’s, no president’s, only Putin’s.…” said the Arizona Senator. “If we continue to undermine our own rule of law, we are doing Putin’s job for him.”

Gees, that’s rich coming from the man who is a traitor to his own party. Anyways, less we digress, the final comment comes from the man who has pushed the Russia investigation more than anyone in Congress.

Adam Schiff

Unsurprisingly, President Trump slammed the FBI and DOJ for “politicizing the sacred investigative process” saying that would’ve been “unthinkable” a while ago. Responding to that comment, “Shifty Schiff” blamed Trump.

“No, Mr. President it’s worse than that, Schiff tweeted. “The country’s top elected leader has agreed to selectively and misleadingly release classified info to attack the FBI — that’s what would have been unthinkable a short time ago.”

So, have you ever heard that saying, “only guilty people defend themselves?” Democrats are doing a lot of defending.
