“15:17 To Paris”
As an actor, Clint Eastwood has graced the silver screen as an outlaw looking for justice in films like “Hang ‘Em High” and “Outlaw Josey Wales.” Of course, who could forget his role as tough-talking homicide detective “Dirty Harry” Callahan. As an Oscar-winning director, Eastwood is a true storyteller that isn’t shy about tackling less than popular subjects such as those in “Million Dollar Baby” and “Gran Torino.”
However, what has endeared fans to Eastwood perhaps more than his films, is the fact that he is a true American patriot (and Trump supporter). His love of country, and the military, is what inspired him to direct and produce the 2015 biopic of murdered Navy SEAL, Chris Kyle. Eastwood drew sharp criticism from the left over “American Sniper,” who posited that the film was “rooted in anti-Arab racism.”
Given their past reactions, liberals are going to hate his next movie even more. “15:17 To Paris” tells the story of three American backpackers who stopped what could’ve been a deadly terrorist attack. Anthony Sadler, Oregon National Guardsman, Aleksander Skarlatos, and former U.S. Airman Spencer Stone were traveling by high-speed rail from Amsterdam to Paris, when they were confronted with a…
Heavily Armed Islamic Gunman
The Islamic terrorist came ready to kill all 554 passengers on the train that day. He had an AK-47, automatic pistol, and razor blades. The trio heard gunshots then saw a gunman entering the carriage with an automatic rifle. What happened next, as reported by The Guardian in 2015, was both harrowing and heroic.
“As he was cocking it to shoot it, Alek just yells: ‘Spencer, go!’ and Spencer runs down the aisle,” Sadler said. “Spencer makes first contact, he tackles the guy, Alek wrestles the gun away from him, and the gunman pulls out a box cutter and slices Spencer a few times. And the three of us beat him until he was unconscious.”
Eastwood presented the men with the “Hero Award” at the 2016 Guys Choice Awards and they are thrilled that he has taken on the project. Given the left’s denials about Muslim extremists, a movie about heroic Americans and Islamic terrorism, directed by a conservative patriot, should definitely cue the liberal outrage.
