Signs Pop Up In California to “Warn” Visitors About Sanctuary State
The new year may just be getting started but it’s already shaping up to be a real barn burner. California is kicking off 2018 by celebrating its new status as a sanctuary state. But based on some new highway signs that popped-up, it seems not everyone supports the state’s liberal agenda. If you haven’t had a good laugh today, keep reading.
Millions of drivers travel the 15 Freeway between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Visitors and residents alike are greeted with the customary “Welcome to California” sign. However, over the holiday weekend, a mysterious person (or group) added another message. Only these signs, are more of a warning than a greeting.
“Welcome to California. Official Sanctuary State. Felons, Illegals and MS13 Welcome. Democrats need the Votes!” the sign read. On the Pacific Coast highway, another sign had a more pointed message for travelers.
“Official Sanctuary City ‘Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!’ (Boyle Heights Not So Much.)” read the sign according to FOX5. The signs were also embellished with the state seal of California and a picture of a donkey, the symbol for the Democrat party.
While most if not all the signs have since been removed, the message highlighted the real issue loud and clear. Which, is that California has bigger problems to deal with. Issues like homelessness and recovering from deadly wildfires for example.
On Christmas Day, a shocking video surfaced showing how bad the homeless problem is in LA. The dashcam footage revealed sidewalks lined with tents and littered with debris near 5th and 6th streets.
Approximately 20,000 people, including women and children, occupy the area. An area just miles from the rich and famous. A district largely ignored by Representative Maxine Waters, who spends her time calling for Trump to be impeached.
Sadly, Hollywood liberals and leftist California politicians like Waters would rather provide for illegals and refugees. Even if they are criminals. Governor Jerry Brown pardoned at least two illegal immigrants facing deportation just before the new year holiday. And, as Americans sleep on the streets, Syrian refugees are living the good life.
