When Americans across the country, joined forces to say “enough is enough” they overcame all odds and elected the president of their choice–Donald Trump. Now, on the floor of their U.S. Senate, they are told they are not patriots by the opposing party.
In an almost nine-minute speech, Rep. Maxine Waters provided a history lesson about the contributions of African-Americans, touting their sacrifices and endless pursuit of “justice and equality.” She began by reaffirming her hatred of President Trump:
“Mr. Speaker, my position against this president and his administration is clear. I oppose this president. I do not honor this president. I do not respect this president.” (Gee, thanks for that update Rep. Waters, we really had no idea you felt this way.)
She then rambles on about what she and others like her have given up to make America better.
“African-Americans have struggled and fought historically, many African-Americans have paid a huge price fighting for justice and equality in this country, have died for it. I don’t have to call the names of Martin Luther King and all the others. We have paid a price, we have fought.”
After that, she once again insisted that President Trump is dangerous.
Waters, trying to justify her bad behavior, couldn’t help but tell everyone what a “bad man” the president is–in a truly disgusting display of disrespect from a United States senator:
“When we fight against this president, and we point out how dangerous he is for this society and for this country, we’re fighting for the democracy. We’re fighting for America.”
Opposing, disrespecting and slandering a duly elected president, is not fighting for America.
Forgive me if I am wrong here, but I seem to recall several wars being fought by Americans from all races, to preserve our freedoms and republic. The same democratic republic that Democrats are hell-bent on destroying every chance they get. It doesn’t get
It doesn’t get any more “un-American” than that.
