Fans are used to hearing that a character is pregnant and then seeing that character have a baby within the next few episodes. But the creators of The Walking Dead have said we won’t be seeing Baby Rhee anytime soon.

Showrunner Scott Gimple recently said that Maggie and Baby Rhee will not meet in Season 8 of The Walking Dead. Basically, the pacing of the show is going so slow that Maggie isn’t even showing yet.

In the comic, the birth of Baby Rhee was skipped over all-together when the series went through a time jump.

Comic Book confirms, “Heading into the All Out War storyline, very little time has passed within the AMC series despite Maggie announcing her pregnancy during an episode which aired in 2015.”

Scott Gimple added, “It’s quite early in, as it was in the book.” This means they’re basically only a few weeks or a month after the death of Glenn Rhee and Abraham Ford. Negan killed them both.

Season 7 felt like it dragged on forever. It’s good to know that Rick getting ready to fight a month after the Glenn.

Fans Confused About Baby Rhee Pregnancy

In real life, however, it’s been two years since the pregnancy was revealed. So many fans are confused about Maggie’s pregnancy. Actress Lauren Cohan has said it’s a bit complicated based on the show’s timeline.

“I always want to put a little ticker tape along the bottom of the episode saying how far into the apocalypse and into the pregnancy,” Cohan said. “But… it’s only been a matter of weeks since Negan killed Glenn.”

Glenn and Hershel taught Maggie so much. But now she’s turning into a leader all on her own. In the new clip, it’s clear that even Rick wants to step aside and follow Maggie into the future.

Maggie’s mindset isn’t on Baby Rhee as much as it is on inspiring Hilltop to take down Negan and the Saviors. She knows that she’s going to need a decent world for the baby, so she’s fighting for that at the moment.

Do you think Maggie will be able to get Dr. Carson back in time to deliver Baby Rhee?
