In 2018, the easiest way to get rich is by being a liar, criminal, or liberal politician. Or, in the case of fired FBI Director Andrew McCabe, all three. The Trump-hating, Hillary Clinton supporter is raking in the big bucks through a GoFundMe campaign.

In response to his termination,  organizers created a legal defense fund for McCabe through the fundraising site on Thursday. By Friday, the “Friends of Andrew McCabe” campaign  raised just under $450,000 to allegedly help with his mounting legal bills.

Underneath what appears to be  a feel-good photo of McCabe with his wife, children, and family dog, is an explanation for the fundraiser. Naturally, his “friends” blame President Trump for treating Andy harshly and unfairly:

“Andrew McCabe’s FBI career was long, distinguished, and unblemished.  He embraced the most daunting, difficult, and important challenges that the FBI and the country could assign to him over the past 21 years.  He served the United States with courage and distinction in the days following the President’s summary dismissal of former Director James Comey, in one of the most tumultuous periods in the Bureau’s history.”

For an added tug at the old heart strings, they included a link to an op-ed McCabe penned for the Washington Post. “His reward for that has been a termination that was completely unjustified, amidst repeated ad hominem attacks by the President of the United States,” they wrote.

Currently, McCabe is the subject of three Congressional investigations and one by the Office of Inspector General. As a result of these inquiries, Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired him. That happened just two days before he could retire with a full pension and handsome benefits package.

A termination, by the way, that is not without merit.

During his time with the FBI, McCabe was party to more than one controversy. Before he became acting director of the Bureau, he was named in a lawsuit involving former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. Many saw McCabe’s investigation into Flynn after the election as d.

At present,  McCabe is accused of withholding information during testimony on the Russia mess. Worse still, for leaking information to the media and misleading investigators in the Hillary Clinton probe. All in a day’s work for members of the Clinton crime syndicate.

An organization for whom crime seems to pay very well.
