Our Heroic Anna

A Blue Heeler, similar to this dog, saved Jennings life.

When Candace Jennings went to the animal shelter to adopt a dog, her heart went out to a Blue Heeler that was waiting there alone and scared. She’d been abandoned after enduring repeated abuse and neglect. Jennings knew that this dog deserved a loving home where she wouldn’t be mistreated again.

Little did Jennings know, this rescue dog was going to become her very own hero. On Thanksgiving morning in 2007, Jennings was asleep on the couch in her trailer.
