I love volunteering. It can be a great way to get out there and make a difference, even a small difference. However, there are times when I want to help but I don’t have the time or any other way to help. Or so I thought. After a lot of research and some trial and error, I found a host of ways to help dogs in need. So let’s look at 10 different ways you can help dogs in need.
1. Help Dogs in Need by Adopting
Of course, the first way to help dogs on our list is by adopting them. Whether it is your first rescue or your third, you can help many dogs by adopting a rescue or shelter dog.
The reason why I say you can help several is for a few reasons:
- You are providing a rescue dog with a loving forever home.
- Rescuing helps raise awareness as you will begin to tell friends and family how you rescued your dog. This can lead to your friends and family rescuing as well.
- You are freeing up space in a rescue so more dogs can be saved and made available for rehoming.
Adopting a rescue or shelter dog can provide a lot of benefits for you and your dog, especially if it is an older dog.
But adoption doesn’t have to be the only way to help, check out some more ways to you can help rescues and dogs.
