When a country music star is performing in stadiums full of fans, it’s very special when they make eye contact with you, give you a high five, or kneel down to sing with you.
But nothing could have been more special than the moment Chesney shared with Kelly Swanson, a woman battling cancer who was in the front row.
He spotted Kelly in the crowd and got down on his knees and look at her. He grabbed her hand and sang “Three Little Birds,” the song he was just in the middle of singing, which has the lyric, “Don’t worry about a thing. ‘Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.” He then signalled for her to join him on stage. As she comes into view, you can see she’s lost her hair from the treatments.
He led her to the middle of the stage and removed her hat to show the thousands of fans her bare head. He then touched his bald head to hers, giving her a big hug.
Kelly posted on Facebook along with the video: “It holds so much emotion for so many people near and dear to me as well as all those who are still fighting or have fought their battle with cancer. The outpouring of posts texts and messages proves that there is still a lot of good people in this world.”
