We once again round-up all the latest juicy country news and keep you in touch with what’s happening. This week it’s Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood. From dogs to babies, country is brimming with excitement.
Baby No. 2?!
The magazine reported that it seemed like Carrie might be hiding a baby bump when she recently hosted the CMA Awards. “Carrie looked absolutely radiant, and she had a coy smile all night,” an insider for the OK! said. “She was very secretive about her costume changes, and the word backstage was it seemed like she was trying to hide any signs of a baby bump.”
This is definitely a story to follow.
“I’ll Name the Dogs”
In a recent episode of The Voice, Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson performed a charming rendition of “I’ll Name the Dogs.” Hudson is a fellow coach on the show.
The pair performed their duet in front of a fireplace ablaze with a real fire, adding to the coziness of the song. Shelton’s voice gives the song its down-home feel. What Hudson added was turning the song into a conversation. With so much talent on stage, it’s definitely worth a watch.
Jason Aldean and wife Brittany Kerr welcomed their new son on December 1. Memphis Aldean Williams was born to the delight of two ecstatic parents.
According to The Boot, the Aldeans selected the name Memphis in honor of Jason’s hero, Elvis Presley. Presley’s famous estate, Graceland, is in Memphis.
“I just wanted him to have something that wasn’t very common,” Aldean said of the name. “I’m sure he’s gonna meet people with the name Memphis — he won’t be the only one — but, you know, at least I think it’s unique enough where … it won’t be like Michael or John or, you know, Jason. And that was kinda what we were going for.”
Aldean also added an Instagram post of his own, saying, “So blessed today to see my little man come into the world. In a year that has been a rollercoaster ride, this is what its all about. I cant wait to see what life has in store for this kid.”
