Spring has sprung, which means exactly one thing. Country music festival season is upon us. This is great news for all of us country music junkies. Long days of hot sun and cold beer. Sultry nights of dancing into the wee hours. Delicious fair food. And hours upon hours of the greatest music you could wish for. So what are the must-see festivals this year? Here is your ultimate guide.
Stagecoach: April 27-29
The Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, California is the largest country music festival in the bear coast state. Taking place the last weekend in April, Stagecoach is definitely a must-see. For one, the three headlining acts are Florida Georgia Line (Friday night), Keith Urban (Saturday night), and Garth Brooks (Sunday). Considering that Garth Brooks wrapped up his intense 3-year tour last year, this is one of the few times you can see him in 2018.
Other big names this year include Kelsea Ballerini, Jake Owens, Kacey Musgraves, and Brothers Osborne.
Each day the venue opens at noon, so you’ll have plenty of time to sleep in. And though there are plenty of adult beverages to imbibe, it’s a family-friendly event. In fact, children under 10 get free admission, so they’re more than welcome. Another awesome thing about this festival is that parking is free, and you can actually find a spot. So though you’ll drop a bit of money on the pass, there are lots of perks that make this a great country music festival.
