Florida Georgia Line singer Tyler Hubbard and his wife, Haley, are already learning how demanding children can be. And their daughter isn’t even born yet.
“A lot of carbs.”
The Hubbards married in 2015 and are expecting their first child the end of December. And naturally, there are all the pregnancy cravings.
“There’s a lot of carbs in our house right now,” Tyler joked in an interview. “We are a couple of months out, and she’s past the sick phase. So, we are rocking and rolling and ready for the end of December to get here.”
In addition to the cravings, Haley has also experienced quite a bit of morning sickness, as well as nausea. However, she didn’t take it lying down.
Instead of being at home feeling bad, she decided to go to Malawi with the University of California San Francisco School of Nursing to promote maternity care and child health initiatives.
In speaking about her travels, she said, “I was definitely exhausted. But it put things into perspective for me because we were working in Malawi with the UCSF School of Nursing and so we were in a lot of hospitals with women that just had babies. They were with their newborns in these dirty congested hospitals and no sheets on the bed — conditions you would never want to have your baby in — so suddenly I didn’t feel as sick or feel as bad.”
Their bundle of surprise
The cravings weren’t the only surprise in store for Tyler and Haley.
For a few months, the couple thought they were having a boy. They even announced it on social media. But it turns out that the blood test was incorrect; they are, in fact, having a daughter.
The couple hasn’t shown any disappointment with the change, however. They seem to be going with the flow through the pregnancy, and ready to embrace their new roles as parents.
With all of the surprises Baby Hubbard has already given them, who knows what’s in store once she’s actually here!
