This year is the Soul2Soul World Tour, Take 2. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill launched the tour in 2017. It was such a sellout that they decided to extend performance dates into 2018. And we have all the cool insider information for you about this super exciting, ultra-sexy set of concerts.
The Soul2Soul Production is Amazing
Prior to Soul2Soul 2017, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill had not toured together since 2007. So there was definitely a level of expectation, if not outright pressure, about bringing out a new tour. In an interview with EW, McGraw and Faith discussed their excitement about the new performances, including the amazing production.
“I think people want a certain level of production when they come see our show,” said McGraw. “And it’s fun for us to be out there with the lights and the bells and the whistles. We bring an element of theater to it, and that works well for us.”
And do they ever. With an 80-foot video wall, incredible lighting, and a huge band, the two completely ramp up the excitement factor.
Expect Old Favorites and New Covers
Little is more annoying than to go see your favorite artist only to have them omit their biggest hits from the setlist. Those are the songs we all want to see live. Luckily, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill know this. So they bring all their hits to their setlist. They also include some amazing cover songs, such as the George Michael and Aretha Franklin hit “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me).”
He Still Impresses Her
Faith Hill loves her husband’s music so much, she demanded that he keep performing songs he was tired of. When he threatened to stop singing “Live Like You Were Dying,” she said, “I would’ve packed my bags and left if he’d done that.”
She has also said to audiences how much she respects Tim McGraw. “It’s an honor to be up on stage with this man.”
She Still Dazzles Him
Even after more than 20 years of marriage, Faith Hill still has some aces up her sleeve. Expect to be as impressed as her husband.
“Faith’s dance moves have been surprising me!” said McGraw about Soul2Soul. “She’s bringing out the Beyoncé on this tour!”
They Have Awesome New Material to Debut
In late 2017, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw released their first-ever duet record together. With Soul2Soul extending into 2018, expect to hear the couple perform new music from The Rest of Our Life. This year is the first to hear it live, so don’t miss your chance.
If you do get a chance (or have previously had the opportunity) to see Tim and Faith live, let us know in the comments! We want to hear your thoughts about their tour.
