Although stomach bloating may seem very personalized to you, it’s actually very common. If you are stressed right now or, if life is generally so on a consistent basis, this is one main cause. But, diet should also be considered.  Stomach bloating does not necessarily mean that something wrong, however, it can be indicative of health concerns such as Candida which could lead to autoimmune reactions, allergies or digestive disorders. If you have any concerns, it’s worth checking to see if you have any of the following symptoms.

Stomach bloating is temporary. In the main, when you experience the sensation, it’s typically due to air being trapped in the abdomen and although it’s unpleasant, there is usually no cause for alarm. However, if you feel bloated but experience additional symptoms too, it may be worth seeking medical advice.

  • Nausea
  • Unintentional weight loss
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue
  • Brain fog
  • Lack of concentration
  • Irregular periods
  • Skin rashes
  • Itchy throat or eyes connected to the allergic reaction

Potential causes of stomach bloating

There are many different reasons as to why your stomach may start to bloat. Your thyroid glands may be dysfunctional, you could have a problem digesting your food, or, have a hormonal imbalance or allergy. An inability to metabolize your food sufficiently could also create the same sensation. If there is excessive gas in the intestines, it may be that your body cannot break down sugar and carbohydrates fully. You may have due an imbalance in the gut bacteria too, this can certainly cause issues. There are various gastrointestinal disorders which includes celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and even, ulcerative colitis.
