Mindfulness is just as important as meditation. Using the two practices together is essential to finding the most balance and inner peace in life. You’ll find that as you begin to practice mindfulness and meditation together, you’ll start to achieve deeper senses of wellbeing. The world is a stressful place, and mindfulness practices are essential to coping with the daily stresses of life.

Study Yourself

Start getting very in tune with who you are. You’re the Universe’s greatest miracle. It’s important you start acting like it. Find out everything you can about you. Find out what makes you tick, what makes you hurt. Being mindful of yourself is essential for healthy living in this day and age.

Be Your Best Friend

Your own best friend, and this is in accordance to the previous tip. But it’s important that you start taking care of yourself. Because if you don’t, no one else is going to. It’s easy to go around being kind and compassionate to other people. But at some point, you’ve got to put yourself first and treat yourself how you would treat your best friend.

Scan Your Body

Pay as much attention to your body as you can. Constantly seek to scan your body and study it. Pay attention to the aliveness of your body in each and every moment. Paying attention to your body is fundamental to mindfulness and helps keep your awareness in the present moment.

Be Aware of the Lights and Sounds

Do your best to notice all that is going on around you at all times. There is always something happening, so many lights, so many sounds. Get used to paying attention to every aspect of the world around you.

Commit to Meditating Daily

If you’re going to practice mindfulness, it’s important to practice meditation too. Commit to whatever you can on a daily basis. Even if you only practice meditation for 20 minutes a day, commit to it. It’s one of the greatest acts of self-love and can change your life forever.

Do it Anywhere

Mindfulness isn’t something you need to set aside special time for. It’s about being aware of what is happening in your world and paying attention to it at all times. Make sure to take care of yourself and pay attention to your daily life and happenings going on at any given moment. By practicing mindfulness, you’ll be able to catch yourself and your thoughts before they get a hold of you. Self-awareness is one of the greatest gifts of mindfulness.

Use Guided Hypnosis

Guided meditations and hypnosis are ideal for mindfulness. You can find guided hypnosis on YouTube that cover almost anything you can think of. There are guided meditations for relaxations, for ending limiting beliefs and even to help you recognize abundance.

Find a friend who you can talk to on a daily basis about mindfulness. Having someone who can practice mindfulness with you can help you learn more about awareness. We are all connected, and often times learning through another person’s experience can help you.

Find a Community

Look for other people who are into mindfulness and meditation. If one friend who you can talk to about your daily experience is good, then imagine how it must be when you have an entire community of people around you who can offer you support.

Smile When You Notice Yourself Doing it

Congratulate yourself anytime you find yourself practicing mindfulness. Anytime you stop yourself from negative thinking, congratulate yourself! When you are mindful of bad habits before they happen, congratulate yourself.

Mindfulness is really about self-awareness. Using these tips will help you become more mindful of yourself, the world and the people in it. So take time to learn about mindfulness and practice it on a moment to moment basis.
