Internet Cooking Games to Play with your Grandchildren

Our grandkids love online games. We love to bake. We can strike up a deal by trying some internet cooking games with a side of cupcakes.

All you need is your cell phone and a comfy spot on the couch to play these fun-filled games. They’re bright, colorful, and play inviting tunes as they welcome into the world of food for the eyes.

Cooking with Chef Piglet gives toddlers to 12-year-olds a place to put together salads, pizza, ice cream treats and more. Chef Pig offers lots of ingredients and toppings to get started then junior chefs put them together and ring the bell when they’ve completed their scrumptious creations.

Sarah’s Cooking Class offers lessons in home-cooked meals to restaurant fare and baked goods. Kids can chop, stir, cook and set the table in a variety of ways in Sarah’s kitchen. Her games are free and appeal to girls ages 8-10 who love everything pink, sparkly and girly. If they’re Barbie fans, Sarah has a section for that, too.

Girls Go Games is a place to pack picnic baskets, prepare for tea and cook up burgers. However, don’t let the name of the website steer away from your grandsons. There’s plenty of food fun for guys and gals.

Games Games is the cooking and food stop for the more discriminating gamer. Achievements can be recorded, coins collected and scores stored away to work on better times at building delicious meals and desserts.

A long way from our Easy Bake Ovens

online cooking games

Internet cooking games are based on ingredient selection, composition, and speed. They don’t turn out anything to munch and there’s no light bulb involved but they can provide a new way to spend time with our grandchildren.

Try some of these cooking games when you need to keep your little ones occupied–whether it’s in a waiting room or in the produce aisle. But keep an eye on the screen and join in to celebrate their progress in the cyber kitchen.

A few online cooking games may encourage your grandchild to do some real cooking. But if they’re not up to it some particular day, at least they got to build a mile-high sandwich and there was no mess in the kitchen!
