What You Need To Know About The Wild Fire That Claimed Johnny Galecki’s Home

Tragedy struck The Big Bang Theory family this summer, when a wild fire tore through his million dollar estate north of Los Angeles. Here are the details of the tragic story.

Johnny Galecki’s Home, Destroyed

A wildfire spread 200 miles north of Los Angeles, hitting Johnny Galecki’s home and claiming the entire estate as its victim. The Big Bang Theory star and family were not harmed, but his possessions and property could not be salvaged.

All that remained after the fire was a chimney, standing solitary, surrounded by the ashes. Johnny said, “My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire.” The home was bought for 1.2 million dollars. That’s about what the actor makes per episode while filming The Big Bang. The home had a log cabin feel to it, and was  a retreat for the actor.

Johnny took time to thank the firefighters who worked on his home and surrounding area. In an Instagram photo, which showed him embracing a first responder, Johnny said, “Thank you to the brothers and sisters of @calfire It is the profound risks that you accept and the sacrifices you and your families make that keep us safe. Thanks also to the many of you who have reached out in support. It is far from lost on us here. #muchlove#movingforwardstronger”

Moving Forward

It seems Johnny is alright, and moving forward with his life. He’s been spending time with friends. He wrote, “So blessed to have such friends. The realization and appreciation is always worth a shameless beat to capture and share…”
