In “Service,” on The Walking Dead, Rosita seems to understand what’s going on before everyone else. Viewers see Dwight take her guns and pour out her water before Negan takes the other guns and they burn the mattresses.
Rosita has her own plans on the series. She finds one of the Saviors that has turned into a walker and pulls a gun off of him. The episode ends with her asking Eugene to make her a bullet (from the shell Negan shot in Alexandria).
Serratos Discusses Rosita this Season
“I think [Rosita] knows at this point that she needs to be methodical and smart and not let Rick down,” comments Christian Serratos to Yahoo TV. “She’s trying to be covert as possible.”
Perhaps Rosita will step into leadership this season on The Walking Dead. She’s already experienced a loss, so in a way, she has nothing to lose. That mentality combined with her skill sets, could mean trouble for Negan.
“I don’t know if it’s just with her right now; I think she has a plan and has become the leader of her plan. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes from here. She’s definitely headstrong and is somebody not afraid of a mission, as we’ve seen before. I’m excited to see what the potential is here.”
Rosita is able to put her grief to the side. She was smart enough to take advantage of the undead Saviors in the woods. Perhaps she will be the one to rebuild the Alexandrian armory, one gun at a time.
Rosita and the Gang Before the Outbreak
“We forget that these people were individuals who lived in the world before it was a mess, before the apocalypse, and I’m sure that’s a lot of who she was pre-apocalypse,” recalls the actress.
“Of course, I think it’s amplified when everything went to shit and she had no choice but to buck up and survive. I think it just captured who she was. I think she’s learned a lot from people that we haven’t seen before, pre-Abraham’s army.”
Rosita also learned a great deal from Abraham, who was the only real military person on the show (as far as we know). “I think she’s learned a lot from Abraham. Now, being in this new family that she has, I think she’s learned a lot from the people around her, from people like Maggie and Sasha and Glenn and Rick.”
Rosita has certainly learned a great deal from those around her. “Now, we’re just seeing it come to fruition, especially having lost somebody so dear to her, having been separated from Abraham and then having lost him. Now we’re going to see who she is as an individual, come out more than ever,” said Serratos.
Do you think Rosita will build an armory of weapons?
