Season 7 of The Walking Dead ended in a way that could have never shown the Heapsters (a.k.a. the Scavengers) again. However, that’s not the case. Jadis actress Pollyanna McIntosh has signed on for another season of the show.

Once Jadis double-crossed Rick Grimes and shot him in the gut, she wrote her own death wish. In addition, one of her minions almost killed Michonne, which means Rick is going to have to kill the Heapsters and the Saviors.

It’s unclear if these two groups are still working together or not.

Jadis actress Pollyanna McIntosh wishes that her character would take out Negan. “Oh, if Jadis could take out Negan, wouldn’t that be a joy for everyone? …that would make me very happy.”

“I also don’t want to see her cause any trouble between Michonne and Rick because I really like that couple, so that’s not on my wishlist, the laying with,” joked the actress. This is the opposite of her character’s comments last season.

In the end, she wants to see her work with Alexandria.

In reality, however, Jadis double-crossed Rick and he’s unlikely to give her another chance. For Rick Grimes, they simply need to go. They can’t be trusted and they’ve done more harm than good.

They had their chance to help Rick and the residents of Alexandria, but they chose to work with Negan. This meant siding with the bad guys and shooting Rick Grimes. Some people even believe the Heapsters become the Whisperers.

Robert Kirkman has said this isn’t the case, but it certainly seems possible. After all, if the Heapsters are willing to live in a junkyard, why not also start wearing the skin of zombies to walk around. They also whisper pretty regularly in their new speech.

When the series returns, it’s unclear how and where the Heapsters will play a role.

Do you think Rick Grimes could ever trust the Heapsters again?
