Those Boots!

These boots were first scene following Rick and Aaron outside of the houseboat. At this point, it could have been Dwight (Daryl sees binoculars), Simon, King Ezekiel, Cyndie or a number of other individuals interested in what Rick might find in that houseboat.

Fans have also speculated that this could be one of the Whisperers from the comic series. The Whisperers have worked with Negan in the comics and it’s possible that these boots belong to someone we haven’t seen yet on the AMC series.

So who wears these boots?

A New Community

A Facebook group known as The Spoiling Dead Fans has confirmed that they believe the boots to belong to someone from a new community.

In a promo for the second half of Season 7, there is a junkyard setting. In this junkyard, there is a coliseum-like pit where people and walkers are forced to do battle (perhaps this explains the “monster” from the trailer as well).

Who is the new group?

Fans have referred to these groups as “Garbage Pail Kids,” as they aren’t specifically from the Robert Kirkman comic book series. Based on the trailer and these mysterious boots, it’s likely Rick and the gang will meet this new group soon.

In another spoiler, the Facebook group has checked into casting calls to find out that the Boots-wearer may be named Jadis and could be played by actress Sabrina Gennarino, who has appeared in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and NCIS: New Orleans.

Are you excited for next season? Do you still think these boots could belong to someone else?
