The Walking Dead‘s Deceased Callbacks
Season 7 of The Walking Dead has really been toying with our emotions. The major callbacks have been around Glenn and Abraham but there are others ways that the writers and set designers used to play with audience emotions as well.
The big callback, of course, is Maggie wearing a hat like Glenn’s pizza boy cap and fingerless gloves like Abraham. Ironically, this may have really helped Maggie, because she seems to be the most in-control character at this point in the season.
Besides Maggie, other characters are also playing tribute to lost loves.
Sasha’s Necklace And Holster
In “The Other Side’s” opening montage, we eventually see Sasha packing and preparing to take down Negan, but we also see her teaching the Hilltoppers who to fight with knives.
With Abraham’s necklace around her neck, she’s also wearing another tribute around her waist. Sasha’s knife and gun-holster are actually her brother’s original holster from back in the prison.
Tyreese Williams was bitten by Noah’s zombie brother in Season 5 of the show.
Will Sasha Soon Be Reunited With Tyreese?
In the comic, Tyreese arrives with his daughter, but on AMC, he arrived with his sister Sasha. Tyreese was one of the main characters to care for Judith, especially after everyone was separated at the prison.
His morals, in the end, may have been too good for the world of The Walking Dead. In the end, Tyreese couldn’t handle some of the things that needed to be done in order for the good to survive.
Perhaps some of this good in him was passed on to Sasha through that holster. At the end of “The Other Side,” she leaves Rosita outside the gate. Some people view this as selfish, while others see it as selfless.
Did Sasha save Rosita or take away her only ambition in life?
