Fans Can’t Stop “Crying” Over The Small Message In This Scene From Last Week…

Back in Season 7, we saw a touching scene between Rick Grimes and Michonne. While out scavenging for food, Rick decided to reveal he hadn’t been sleeping. This, of course, was because his friend Glenn Rhee had been murdered.

Glenn Rhee had been around since the very beginning before he came across the path of Negan and Lucille. When Rick Grimes was trapped in a tank and surrounded by walkers, Glenn was the voice that saved him.

Soon, the two were running around together and covered in zombie’s guts.

One of the first scenes from the 100th episode showcases Rick Grimes visiting the graves of Abraham Ford and Glenn Rhee. Last season, we saw Maggie here a great deal, but this is the first time we’ve seen Rick visit on screen.

There are several reasons why this could be the first time Rick has had the chance to visit his fallen friend. Whether it comes down to time or because the communities are finally working together, it’s clear that he needs this relationship to continue.

More than likely, however, Rick Grimes is looking for guidance from his friend.

Rick Grimes has changed a great deal over the years. Whether he’s a family man, a Sheriff, a farmer, a killer, or a leader, he’s always needed, Glenn Rhee. At this moment, we see him asking for help one last time.

It’s interesting how much Glenn and Hershel’s guidance has helped Maggie over the years. As she prepares to have a baby, she’s also taken on the leadership role from Hilltop, essentially being elected by the people.

Hopefully, this leadership will rub off on Rick Grimes. Based on the speeches he gave, it looks like he too has some of that Glenn charm. In the battle itself, however, revenge nearly gets the best of him.

Rick Grimes loses focus during the battle and nearly gets himself killed. Luckily, Father Gabriel arrives to encourage him to get moving. He reminds him that the war is not just about one person.

In a way, Father Gabriel was there like Glenn Rhee used to be.

Do you think Rick Grimes will use more tactics from his friend, Glenn Rhee?
