Daryl Dixon and Rick Grimes are on the hunt in the latest episode of The Walking Dead. The duo is using Dwight’s directions to find guns. However, this looks like the first time Dwight will let them down since he switched sides.
As they hunt for guns, Rick and Daryl also decide to split up. At this point, they’ve searched multiple floors with no results, so it seems like a good idea to speed things up. Unfortunately, it leads to Rick getting into a James Bond-style fight to the death.
What he finds on the other side of the door, however, is the real dilemma.
Rick Grimes Finds Baby Gracie
Rick Grimes muscles out the other guy and gets him in a chokehold. His prey knocks him into a shelf on the wall. The shelf bursts into multiple pieces, but it also exposes the brackets.
When Rick Grimes can no longer hold the man, he turns to the brackets and tosses the man into the spike. At this point, it looks like another Rick victory. However, when he opens the door, he finds something that shakes him to the core.
In the other room, there is a baby, like his own, that will now need to live without a father. Just as when he killed Shane, he’s taken another father from a child. Then, he sees something else that changes his view of the world.
A Second Major Twist For Rick Grimes
While checking on the baby, Rick Grimes hears a gun click. When he turns around, he finds something even more surprising. Rick sees an old friend, who is now a Savior that wishes to take him down.
Morales, from Atlanta, stands in front of our hero. This is a problem for multiple reasons, and it’s likely Rick is thinking about these many dilemmas when he sees his old friend.
If someone like Morales can become a Savior, what does that say about Rick Grimes and what does that say about Negan? Is everyone simply doing what they must to survive so no one is good and no one is bad?
Do you think there is any good left in Morales? What about Negan?
