In the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead, viewers bid farewell to Alexandria’s resident inventory specialist, Olivia. Her death was sudden and unexpected, a random punishment by one of Negan’s soldiers. In a way, Rosita was indirectly responsible for Olivia’s death.
After Spencer approached Negan and suggested that Rick should be replaced as the leader of Alexandria, Negan sliced Spencer’s gut, disemboweling him onto the street. Rosita had her secret gun with her, along with the single bullet made for her by Eugene. It was the second lover Rosita had lost to Negan, and she took her chance to kill him once and for all.
Unfortunately, the bullet missed and became lodged in Negan’s baseball bat, Lucille. Rather than simply kill Rosita, Negan demanded to know who had manufactured the bullet. When Rosita would give up the truth, Negan ordered Arat to kill someone. She pulled her gun and shot Olivia dead on Rick’s front porch.
