The Walking Dead Season 8B: Why Norman Reedus Is More Excited Than Ever

The Walking Dead is officially back on AMC and actor Norman Reedus is thrilled for the new storyline. The actor better known as Daryl Dixon is ready for audiences to see his character push the story forward and win the war.

Currently, Alexandria and the Kingdom have been destroyed. Plus, King Ezekiel has been taken and Carl Grimes was bitten by a walker. Among the many plot points, one of the most interesting stories lies between Daryl Dixon and Dwight.

“That’s my favorite storyline going forward,” said Norman Reedus.

In the past, Dwight knocked out Daryl Dixon and took him prisoner. After Daryl escaped, he tried to help Dwight again, but the man double-crossed him once more. Then, he took his crossbow and his motorcycle.

Later, when Negan took Daryl captive, Dwight was in charge of torturing Daryl once again. He used music torture and fed our hero dog food sandwiches. For the most part, Daryl has gotten the short end of the stick.

Now, their relationship is really going to be tested again.

Norman Reedus sees these two characters as two sides of the same coin. “They’re both right. You know what I mean?” he said. “One just knows how to deal with it a little better,” he said about his character. “The other one is scared.”

“Daryl’s not scared. Dwight’s scared and he makes decisions based on fear, but he’s trying to do the right thing. It seems like it,” he added. “So you really can’t hate on him. We all do horrible things in this world and Dwight did a bunch of crappy stuff and Daryl gets it, and Daryl knows Dwight’s operating from a place of fear.”

Reedus then said he’s thrilled with the new storyline. Presently, Dwight has been working with Rick Grimes to take down Negan. Eventually, he had to actually cross the line and join Daryl and Rick’s team. He literally turned his gun on his own people. It looked like Daryl was going to kill him, but he decided not to…

It’s unlikely that these two opposites will become buddies. More than likely, Dwight’s wife will somehow come back into the picture. And that will once again shift their relationship.

So, what do you think Norman Reedus interpretation of Daryl and Dwight?
