[SPOILER] The Biggest Negan Moment From The Premiere Has Officially Been Named…

At the end of Season 7, Rick Grimes thinks he’s got everything under control. From the time we see him smile in the junkyard, it looks like he has a plan to take down Negan. Then, of course, Jadis changed all of this. Now, Negan has new plans for Rick.

After it seemed like Rick Grimes thought of everything, Negan revealed that he has one thing up his sleeve. After gathering the various troops together, Rick and company arrived only to discover that Negan has Gregory on his team.

Gregory came out, like a weasel, and then pledged alliance with the Saviors.

When Gregory walked out, the first thing we see is Maggie looking down at the ground. Then, she turns to Jesus. “Of course that’s where he went,” said Jesus.

Gregory made this announcement:

“The Hilltop stands with Negan and the Saviors,” said Gregory. “Any resident of the Hilltop, who takes up arms, or supports this ultimatum against the Sanctuary, or any of the Saviors for that matter… They will no longer be welcome in the colony.”

Then, Negan encourages Gregory to tell the others that their families will also be discarded from Hilltop.

At this point, however, Gregory’s threat is nothing special. Maggie is the new leader of Hilltop, and she’s not going to budge. She tells those who look concerned to do what they need to do but stayed with the new Hilltop leadership.

“All I have at the Hilltop are a bunch of books and an old lobster bib,” confirmed Jesus. Then, Maggie calls out to Gregory to tell him no one is going to budge. Jesus affirms that Hilltop stands with Maggie.

At this point, it’s clear to both sides that Gregory is irrelevant. Even Simon sees the truth. He responds by lamenting how much time he invested in Gregory. And how useless he is, as he pushes him down the stairs.

This time, unlike with Jadis, Negan is wrong about the numbers he believes that he has. Perhaps this is why he remained so cool when Rick Grimes and company arrived at his doorstep. Then, there was an explosion in the background.

Do you think Negan feels scared when Rick starts to count?
