Is Negan Actually Doing THIS In These Scenes? Look Very Closely…

“You, my friend, are strong,” said Negan to Eugene on the latest The Walking Dead. “That spongy organ between your eyes and your spectacular mullet is strong,” he emphasized again. At this point, we’re wondering Negan’s true plan for Eugene.

Negan, the leader of the Saviors, is trying to make Eugene feel valuable. From the very beginning, he’s made it clear that he cares and Rick Grimes doesn’t. He’s been stressing how valuable Eugene is to his organization.

But, he’s also promised to kill him if anything goes wrong.

Negan’s praise is bittersweet as he compliments with one hand and holds Lucille in the other. More than likely, this is why Eugene is completely confused when Negan goes in for the handshake. Negan himself makes it clear he doesn’t often shake hands. “A handshake is a sign of mutual respect,” he added.

When Negan promised to kill Eugene if anything terrible happened, it was still a way to show respect. Essentially, he meant that rather than have you turn (into a walker) or get killed in a brutal fight, Negan would kill him with honor— quick and painless.

But, there still seems like there’s something Negan isn’t telling Eugene.

If Eugene Makes Another Mistake

With real chaos outside, the Saviors have somewhat forgotten their hunt for the one who betrayed them. While finding this person is on Eugene’s mind, the real concern for the others is clearing a path.

In addition to the invading walkers, the workers are also on edge inside. In fact, if Negan hadn’t arrived when he did, there would have been more bloodshed. Regina shot one of the workers, but there would have been way more casualties.

Like Negan told Father Gabriel, he is the pied piper to a series of misfits that make up the Saviors. As he toys with Eugene’s mind, we all know that Negan would just as soon kill Eugene as honor him.

At this point, Eugene has intelligence on Dwight and an idea to create bullets. But, if he isn’t able to reveal Dwight or makes another mistake, that could be the end of Eugene.

Do you think Negan is being real with Eugene or making other plans?
