How Would You Like To Be Trained With A Crossbow Like Daryl Dixon?
Norman Reedus “Learns” The Crossbow
Daryl Dixon is known for using a high-power crossbow, but according to Conan O’Brien, Norman Reedus wasn’t always such a good shot. If you’ve seen the Keanu Reeves training videos for John Wick, picture the exact opposite.
In the sketch, Norman Reedus seems to the typical Hollywood actor. He has no real knowledge of the weapon or how to use it and seems to be unaware of how dangerous it actually is.
This, of course, is just a sketch.
Reedus Is A Little Rough Around The Edges
If you’re ever heard Norman Reedus’ real story, it’s likely he’s had a bit of training in the past with guns, bows, and the like. If nothing else, the motorcyclist would have gotten some great training for The Boondock Saints.
On Jimmy Fallon, he also describes his past where he would ride dirt bikes in the street as a kid and run from the cops. In another tale, he wrecked his motorcycle but had to hide out sine there were warrants out for his arrest.
The sketch is even funnier considering how tough Reedus is in real life.
Playing Daryl Dixon On The Walking Dead
When you see Daryl Dixon carrying a crossbow, lifting a gun, or carrying a knife, it looks like the real thing. Norman Reedus puts everything he can into playing the character and it certainly plays on screen.
Whether he’s tracking down a lost child, fighting off hoards of walkers on top of vehicles, or seems to be cornered, the character always seems to have a way out and a method to his madness.
Daryl Dixon is one of the most beloved characters on television today and it’s Norman Reedus’ willingness to give it his all that makes the character so iconic.
