Gamers worldwide are pumped for Overkill’s new Walking Dead concept art. The co-op shooter will likely launch in 2018, but the art premiered at the Starbreeze livestream event earlier this week.

It’s pretty amazing how lifelike the concept art is for this game. The online shooter is similar to the series and comic where players do their best to survive in a world of walkers and survivors.

The game involves walkthroughs, collectibles, trophies, cheats, and more.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead game as listed as:

“Produced by Starbreeze and developed by Overkill, this chapter in The Walking Dead saga features a cooperative, first-person, action-based survival experience.”

“The game (which is unrelated to the TV series and instead is a new storyline strain based on the comics) explores new characters and story events, and offers elements of action, role-playing, survival horror and stealth all in one harrowing experience where survivors fend for themselves in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by flesh-eating walkers.”

The Walking Dead Franchise Grows

IGN reports:

“Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a cooperative online shooter, where players must fight to survive against both walkers and other human survivors during the zombie apocalypse.”

“Earlier this month, Starbreeze and Skybound Entertainment announced another delay for the game to allow the studio more time to expand on its original vision for the project. As such, Overkill’s The Walking Dead is now slated to launch sometime in second half of 2018.”

By 2018, The Walking Dead franchise will be preparing for Season 9 on AMC, where it’s possible we’ll get to see what happens with Robert Kirkman’s time gap. In the meantime, the franchise behind the series and comic will likely continue to grow into more games, the new season of Fear, and beyond.
