“It was kinda weird just having to keep it under wraps for so long. I’ve been doing it for so long, but it’s nice to have it all out there,” said actor Chandler Riggs. On Talking Dead, the man better known as Carl Grimes said his character’s pending death was the elephant in the room, but he enjoyed the entire experience.

“The last scene that we shot was the goodbye scene with Judith,” said Chandler Rigs. “That was the one I was dreading the most. It was really sad. After we finished that scene, we walked out of the sewer and everyone had a patch over their head. Everyone was cheering. They brought a hat that Andy wore in Season 1,” he said.

Director Greg Nicotero said he dreaded the final moments with Carl Grimes, a.k.a. Chandler Riggs. “It’s always challenging when we lose characters,” he added.
