Daryl Dixon Realizes Something’s Wrong

After Gregory threatens Jesus, he walks outside to find Daryl with a crossbow over his shoulder. Daryl reveals that he can’t find Rosita and Sasha ever since the Saviors have come and gone, so he looks worried.

At the end of the episode, Sasha tricks Rosita and locks her out of the Sanctuary. After she runs away, someone is staring at her in the distance who looks like Daryl, but it could also be Jesus or even Dwight, based on the shadow.

Time shifts quickly on the show, but it’s unlikely Daryl got there fast enough.

If this figure isn’t Daryl, it could mean several things for the next few episodes. If Jesus used his ninja-like abilities to make it to the Sanctuary, he would likely have an escape plan to get himself and Rosita out of sight before they were found.

If this is Dwight, however, it could mean several things. It’s possible that this person saw Eugene decide to stay and even saw where Sasha was headed inside the Sanctuary. What’s concerning is whether this is friend or foe.

Would Dwight Help Rosita?

All signs points to Dwight eventually turning over a new leaf to help Rick and Daryl fight against Negan. Despite his progression, it’s unclear when this might actually happen and despite his “goodness,” he also threw Dr. Carson under the bus not long ago, which led to Negan killing the Sanctuary’s only doctor.

So it’s unlikely Dwight will simply say, “Hey Rosita, I’m here to help,” but he could do something to take a step in the right direction. This could mean simply letting her go, pointing her in the right direction, or throwing others off her scent.

If Dwight confronts her in a hostile manner, however, based on how crazy and suicidal Rosita has been lately, it could also end poorly for him.

Do you think Dwight will help Rosita or is this actually Daryl Dixon?
