JUST IN: AMC Published 5 NEW Photos From The Walking Dead February Return

Entertainment Weekly just released a handful of first look photos for die-hard fans of The Walking Dead. Several assumptions can be made from these first five photos, but the broad strokes essentially tell us: it doesn’t look good for our heroes.

In the first photo, Rick Grimes and Michonne are helping Carl Grimes escape from a burning Alexandria. As the house falls in the background, we can assume these three just emerged from a sewer, moments after the Season 8A finale.

Carl Grimes’ bite is sinking in and there’s not much time left for the beloved character.

Daryl Dixon Goes Rogue On The Walking Dead

In the image above, Daryl Dixon appears to be going rogue once more. However, we did notice in the Season 8A trailer that he and Saddiq went on a similar journey through the water. This makes us wonder if Saddiq caught up with Daryl to help out or perhaps the two were going off to find some help (maybe something Saddiq can offer).

In the next photo, it looks like Maggie is trying to deal with her decision to execute prisoners. More than likely, she’s thinking about how Glenn and Hershel might handle a similar situation. Plus, the next battle will likely happen at Hilltop.

Meanwhile, baby Gracie hangs out in the back.

The Walking Dead Tells Two Characters Goodbye

It’s unclear if the photo above happened before or after the burning house scene at the top. It would appear that they had to make this cot for the boy before they took him to the surface and perhaps to Hilltop.

At this point, it’s unclear if Carl will survive more than one episode. Based on the bedside photos here, it’s not looking good. We have previously predicted a living funeral-type scene that we also saw from Andrea in the comic book.

Finally, there’s Morgan Jones. The photo above is actually from Fear the Walking Dead. As we know, one week after wrapping The Walking Dead, the actor flew to Austin, Texas to film his crossover scenes for the big jump.

Unfortunately, we can’t see Morgan’s staff all that well, so it’s unclear if this scene on Fear will be in the future or the past.

Do you think Carl Grimes and Morgan will be killed off?
