Rick And Michonne Visit The Fair

Half of this episode, “Say Yes,” is about Rick and Michonne going on a date. The fair represents this and Rick has been in this boyfriend mood ever since beating Winslow and “win” Michonne the artistic cat (which Jadis wants returned).

Tara Gives Judith Cyndie’s Bracelet

While babysitting Judith, Tara not only confesses her secret but gives away Cyndie’s bracelet to the small child. Perhaps she’s passing on goodness because she’s about to betray Cyndie and Oceanside.

The Brakes Are Out

Rick’s plan to separate and kill the walkers isn’t a bad plan, but it’s not fully hatched either. When he reveals “the brakes are out,” it’s a sign that things may soon go downhill. This is shown to be true when Michonne thinks Rick is being eaten.

Chili, And Mac And Cheese

Despite falling through a roof, Rick and Michonne do find the mother-load of all supply runs, guns, and chili. Rick saves this special treat as they pig out. This meal together shows an improvement in their relationship and peace time before battle.

Good Taste In Pretzels

In the beginning of “Say Yes,” in a scene that can almost be overlooked, Rick and Michonne take pretzels and a walkie off some Saviors who are driving golf balls. This shows that they’re going to start to take back what is rightfully theirs.
