Helberg Releases Unexpected News That Makes Fans Think We’ll Lose Howard
The entire cast and crew of The Big Bang Theory seem to be signing deals for new shows. Most recently, Howard-actor Simon Helberg has signed on to help develop the series, Need to Know. The show will be a CIA workplace comedy.
Beyond Simon Helberg, Jim Parsons has two series in the works including Young Sheldon and John Ross Bowie and Kevin Sussman also have a new series. Plus, it’s possible that Johnny Galecki will return for the Roseanne reboot.
Simon Helberg’s new show sounds a little bit like competition for Fox’s ensemble comedy, Brooklyn 99.
Simon Helberg Launches New Comedy
Need to Know comes from Simon Helberg and Jocelyn Towne’s Wildline Entertainment. Also, Fuller House’s Scott Weinger and Zach Ayers are also attached to the project from Warner Brothers.
Deadline reports, “Co-written by Weinger and Ayers, Need To Know is a workplace ensemble set in the top-secret training video department at the CIA. It’s based on Ayers’ real-life experience working for the CIA in that same department.”
Ayers is also scheduled to be the co-executive producer for this new comedy.
Catching Up With Howard Wolowitz
Simon Helberg is best known for his role as Howard Wolowitz on the CBS comedy, The Big Bang Theory. This season, the character is dealing with the news of a second baby, and he’s taking it rough.
In one of the first episodes, Raj accidentally reminds Howard that no one wants to be around “two whiny babies.” Since then, he found out that he’s about to have a baby boy. And, this also scared him a great deal.
Since Howard’s dad wasn’t around when he was a kid, he wasn’t sure that he would be able to raise a son. What concerns him is his fear he wouldn’t be able to show the boy how to play (or watch) sports as a kid.
For the most part, Howard has accepted this new fate. And, he seems to be thrilled that he’s about to have a second child. In the newest episode, he’s even seemed more purposeful as he helps Amy with a project.
So, what do you think of this new pending project from Simon Helberg?
