Apparently, Sheldon Cooper is only bad at keeping secrets when he believes it will hurt those around him. Whenever he knows something that he’s knows he’s supposed to keep a secret, it eats away at him.

But, when he got his driver’s license and never told anyone, that didn’t seem to bother him at all. This is also true for his secret games of hacky sack. Apparently, because it was unexpected and no one told him to keep it a secret, it was easier for him to do so.

After years of having his friends drive him around, Sheldon revealed that he actually had gotten his license.

We were reminded of this comical moment a few episodes when Sheldon Cooper and Howard were out testing a rocket. The child’s toy exploded on the runway and both were disappointed at the results.

In this episode, we got to see Howard and Sheldon connect for the first time. Together, they bonded over the fact that neither really had a supportive father around during their childhood.

This conversation began after Howard realized he was going to have a baby boy. With a girl, Howard wasn’t worried about anything. But with a boy, he was worried he might be inadequate as a father.

Luckily, Sheldon Cooper’s childish behaviors and complimentary comments reminded Howard that he was a good teacher. We found this out when Howard let Sheldon drive on the open road.
