Nobody Realized THIS Incredible ‘Christmas Advice’ Hidden In The Big Bang Theory

“If there’s a picture of his wife and his kids and his dogs and his horses all in matching pajamas, I beg you to burn it,” said Leonard Hofstadter about his brother’s annual Christmas letter.

“It’s just his chance to brag about how great his life is,” added Leonard. In the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory, Leonard and Penny remind us what not to do during the holiday season.

It’s always a terrible idea to try to keep up with the Joneses (or, in this case, the other Hofstadters).

Throughout the remainder of the episode, Leonard Hofstadter goes over to the whiteboard to come up with his own set of “bragging rights.” Unfortunately, his list is rather slim.

While Leonard’s brother has been helping to build a hospital in Rwanda, Leonard and Penny’s main goals were to stay employed and stay married. On paper, it would appear that the couple had hit a speed bump.

However, they did figure out a better way to spend their time.

Looking For Resolutions, Not Failures

Rather than looking at the past, Leonard and Penny decided to look to the future. Instead of focusing on the things they hadn’t done, they decided to focus on the things they could do for next year.

While Penny isn’t quite ready to have children or look for a home, she is more than willing to consider planning a trip. As their friends prepare to get married and have children, Leonard and Penny are focusing on their relationship.

Next year, it’s possible that they could have “visited Catalina” on their Christmas update letter. If they jump on that trip right away, they could also plan some larger trips, such as International travel.

Above all else, it’s vital to get into the spirit of the season but not to let the seasonal changes stress you out. For Penny and Leonard Hofstadter, this meant making resolutions for the following year.

What do you hope to accomplish in 2018 that you’ve never done before?
