JUST REVEALED: Jim Parsons Just Officially Broke A Major Record
Jim Parsons Big Paycheck In 2017
Like the final seasons of Friends and Seinfeld, last seasons mean big bucks for the cast of The Big Bang Theory. The current list includes Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar in the top list of actors.
Jim Parsons is number one at $27.5 million per year, but his castmates are only about a million behind. Other major actors include the cast of Modern Family and Kevin Spacey for his role on the Netflix series, House of Cards.
The stars of TBBT are reported as earning around $1 million per episode.
The Big Bang Theory Cast’s Big Bucks
Just Jared writes, “The top four spots on the Top 10 list for 2017 includes actors from Jim‘s series The Big Bang Theory. The stars of the show have been earning $1 million an episode. Jim edged out his co-stars thanks to his endorsement deals, including one with Intel. He is also now an executive producer on the spinoff series Young Sheldon.”
Jim Parsons may be in the best position to leverage his stardom. He just helped to create Young Sheldon where he will be narrating and producing. Both of these roles will guarantee two more paychecks for years to come.
Even after the show ends, the cast will continue to make money on reruns. Jerry Seinfeld has actually made more money since his show went off the air.
Young Sheldon And Beyond
Fans of The Big Bang Theory are hoping the show stays around forever, but the cast has given away hints about the show’s end. Johnny Galecki posted that there aren’t too many shows left (total) and Kunal Nayyar has said they want to end on a high note.
Jim Parsons has kept quiet about the potential ending to the show, but perhaps he sees Young Sheldon as a continuation of the series. After all, fans love the quirkiness of Sheldon Cooper at any age.
If and when TBBT does end, the actors on the show will likely have their picks of cameos and movies to work on next.
