It seems like The Big Bang Theory actors are sending mixed messages about the show’s end. While most of them are publicly stating they’re ready for a finale, others don’t seem as keen to hang up their lab coats.
The Big Bang Theory Actors’ Mixed Messages
Many people are assuming The Big Bang Theory will end after 12 seasons. The show’s long run is almost unprecedented in the television world. It’s been 12 great seasons of comedy and charm, but it seems some of the The Big Bang Theory actors are ready to call it quits.
Johnny Galecki told People Magazine, “The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [The Big Bang Theory] has been that we’re all going to be very sad when that day comes…But I think at this point everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.”
Kaley Cuoco seems to agree with Johnny. She’s been quoted saying, “I’d be happy to go as long as we can, but I would like to go out on a high note…I’d prefer to go out while we’re doing well.” 12 Seasons certainly seems like a high note, especially when you consider the success of the spin-off series, Young Sheldon.
Does Mayim Disagree?
However, not all of the The Big Bang Theory actors are on the same page. It seems Mayim Bialik is happy to continue and thinks what the show is offering is still unique and needed. She said, “We’re really proud of what we do…We’re one of the only classic, four-camera sitcom shows that still really believes in what we do and the way we do it. Chuck [Lorre] loves and believes in a live studio audience and we do as well.”
It would make sense that Mayim Bialik might hold on a bit longer than her other cast mates. After all, she did enter the scene three years after they did. However, she does understand their feelings. She said, “I think everyone will be really happy to do other things in their life. We really do love what we do. Our work place is a fun place and like I said, to be doing old-school sitcom is pretty special for us.”
