This week, The Big Bang Theory actress Melissa Rauch welcomed a baby girl named Sadie into the world. After suffering from a previous miscarriage, the actress, known as Bernadette Wolowitz, is thrilled there were no complications with the birth.
Melissa Rauch described the previous incident as “one of the most profound sorrows.” In addition, she added, “I will never take for granted the difficult road it took to get here.”
“To those [of you] on that road: I’m sending you so much love today and always,” she wrote on Instagram.
Melissa Rauch Proud To Be New Mother
In July, the actress publically revealed her pregnancy in an essay in Glamour Magazine. She wrote about the “primal depression” of herself and others who have experienced this type of loss.
Similarly, she also appeared in a video with other celebrities to highlight the stigma that surrounds the loss of a pregnancy. This is the first child of 37-year-old actress Melissa Rauch and her husband, Winston.
Likewise, her character Bernadette Wolowitz is also expecting a second child.
Writing Fact Into The Fiction
Over the years, the writers on The Big Bang Theory have had to write in storylines to match situations with their actors. When Melissa Rauch got pregnant in real life, they decided to go ahead and give Howard and Bernie a second child as well.
In addition, when actress Kaley Cuoco broke her leg in a horse riding incident, the writers put her behind the bar or island in most of the episodes. The majority of the audience didn’t even realize she had broken her leg.
As for current plot points, we’re not expecting to see Howard and Bernie’s second child anytime soon. The writers will likely hold on to the pregnancy until the end of Season 11 for a dramatic ending.
Another candidate to use for the big finale will be the wedding between Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler. Both instances are great topics to revolve stories around for the entire season.
Melissa Rauch named her real-life baby, Sadie. What do you think Bernie and Howard will name their second child?
