Twitter accusations flew like light sabers, making claims that Star Wars: Rogue One would include an anti-Donald Trump message. But does it?

Star Wars writers rewrote and reshot Rogue One to add in Anti-Trump scenes calling him a racist. Disgusting.” Jack Prosobiec’s tweet caused a considerable amount of heated responses from other Trump supporters.

Ironically this tweet has since disappeared.

But the #DumpStarWars hashtag kept popping up. Even I wondered if it was true.

This is where it’s important to remember the importance of knowing facts before responding. Whether you stand on the conservative side of the aisle, or the liberal. Some of our politicians would do well to learn this lesson.

The Truth About the Message

In reality, the shoot was completed during the summer. Trump hadn’t even won the primary by then, so there’s no way filmakers could have known who would win the election.

Yet Prosobiac was not totally off-base. It’s obvious the writers for this movie do have an anti-Trump bent — when you pay close attention.

Hollywood and Disney Don’t Hide Their Disdain

Let’s be honest, most of Hollywood comes from an anti-Trump bent. Notice the word “most” was used.

But back to Star Wars. The original Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill, doesn’t hide his feelings when it comes to our president-elect.

“I’m in total denial,” Hamill told The Daily Beast about the election results. The host of Pop Culture Quest had no problem adding his feelings about the new Trump cabinet. He said they were really “despicable” people.

Between deplorable and despicable, the liberals are learning how to use a thesaurus. But will their revolting comments help drive a conservative revolution?

Rogue One Still Has A Message.

Even though the re-shoot did not include the message first implied, Rogue One writer, Chris Weitz, reflects an implied disdain for conservatives. He admits the “Empire” of this movie represents “a Donald Trump white supremacist” ideology.

And as a contributor to The Hollywood Reporter noted, “It’s The Trump “Empire” versus Hillary Clinton “Resistance” narrative.”

Nothing like “Hillarizing” the revolt.

A comScore analyst wisely responded to the obvious bias. “You want to be able to appeal to everyone irrespective of their political beliefs.”

That sounds like smart talk. Lucasfilm and Disney should really listen to that wisdom, when determining what goes into their movies.

Big studios push their flicks during the holidays, hoping to entertain their viewers. A more successful approach might be to leave political indoctrination in the state colleges.

Will you watch the new Star Wars movie in light of this information?
