TWD Season 8 Returns In October

The Walking Dead | Photo Credit AMC The Walking Dead Season 8 won’t arrive to AMC until the middle of October, but fans are already dying to know all the details they can sink their teeth into (excuse the pun). The first trailer is set to debut at the San Diego Comic Con.

According to Comic Book, AMC usually drops the release at this annual event and it looks like Season 8 is no different. This even will take place on July 19, 2017, but it should be a great deal different (and more optimistic) than last year’s trailer.

Season 7’s intro, after all, was all about the cliffhanger.

Most fans expected Glenn to die the Season 7 premiere, based on the comic, but after Abraham took one for the team, Glenn’s death actually ended up being a surprise. Luckily, Season 8 has moved on from the deaths of the past.

In Season 7, we lost Glenn and Abraham, Spencer, Richard, Benjamin, Olivia, and even Sasha in the finale episode. We also lost a lot of fans, as many considered the season either too harsh or too dull to watch.

When the new trailer for Season 8 drops, we’ll likely see some of our favorite characters making moves to take out Negan. There will definitely be some chatter between Dwight and Daryl as they appear to still trust him.

There’s also likely to be more multi-character stories since the various communities have gathered to fight as one. This could mean more conversations between Maggie, Rick, and the King.

Beyond this, there are certain things the crew will want to deliver to replicate the comic, while others will be brand new. Personally, it would be great to see a retaliation on the Heapsters, but that’s not entirely necessary, just recommended.

What do you think will happen when the series returns?
