Missy Robertson is not just a face on a reality TV show. She is a real person, and real people experience real sadness.

“We were able to spend some time with two of my childhood best friends who married each other and chose a life of service in the U.S. Navy,” she writes.

But now, those friends are not doing so well.

According to a photo Missy posted on Instagram, Jana has been diagnosed with cancer.

“Please pray for my life-long friends,” Missy captioned the photo from April 13. “Jana is having surgery in the morning to remove cancer. They have served our country for over 20 years in the Navy and now they need us. Thank you for praying.”

Sam and Jana’s love for each other seems strong, which means Sam will hopefully be a good support system for her.

“Not only did Sam choose a life of commitment and service,” writes Missy, “but Jana has been a trooper herself in the fact that she and her two girls would pick up and move literally around the world on a moment’s notice and set up home again.”

Of course, we hope Jana and her family are doing well. We send our prayers that recovery would be smooth and the cancer would leave. Please join us — the more people praying, the more of an impact we can have!

We’ll keep an eye on Missy’s online presence to see if and when she announces anything about Jana’s condition. As soon as she does, we’ll let you know.

Please pray for my life-long friends. Jana is having surgery in the morning to remove cancer. They have served our country for over 20 years in the Navy and now they need us. Thank you for praying. We love them dearly. Our God is so good!
