Melissa Rauch on the Ellen Show

Image result for young melissa rauchphoto by thecollider.com Melissa Rauch is known to be honest about her shock and awe when meeting celebrities. The TBBT actress just couldn’t keep it together when she met Ellen Degeneres on The Ellen Show. We found this adorable clip of the two stars talking about their mutual admiration.

“I’m so excited, I can’t even tell you.”

Melissa Rauch was thrilled to be on the Ellen Show for the very first time. She said, “It is my first time and I’m so excited I can’t even tell you.” Apparently, Rauch has been a big Ellen fan for a very long time. She admitted, “I had a VHS tape of you on Carson that I would play over and over again…I was about 7 and I was obsessed with comedy as a kid.”

Melissa apparently loved comedy as a child. No one knew she would go on to star in one of the best comedies on television. Her parents would tape late night shows for her to rewatch in the morning since her bedtime was much earlier. Melissa even called Ellen’s Phone Call To God bit as “the best stand-up routine of all time.”

Show And Tell Blunder

Melissa revealed that she was such a superfan as a child she actually acted out Ellen’s bit for show and tell. She admits it wasn’t received well, “The kid before me had a shark tooth that he brought in from the Bahamas, that really killed. And it was a hard act to follow.” She also admitted that the second graders didn’t necessarily understand the adult comedy. However, we think this is absolutely adorable and wish there was a recording of a tiny Melissa acting out stand-up.

Ellen was equally impressed with Melissa and said, “for a seven-year old that’s really impressive that you grasped that concept.” We definitely think Melissa Rauch and Ellen Degeneres should work more together in the future. Do you agree?
