Kaley Cuoco is a jack of all trades. We know her as Penny on The Big Bang Theory, but many people know her as an equestrian athlete. Here’s what she had to say when interviewed about her second passion in life.
Kaley Cuoco is one of the highest paid actresses in television. To say she’s successful in the entertainment industry would be a HUGE understatement. However, that isn’t all Kaley is good for.
Aside from being an incredibly talented actress, Kaley is also a successful equestrian competitor. She competes regularly, and owns multiple horses. During a recent interview, the interviewer introduced her as “Equestrian, Kaley Cuoco.” Kaley immediately responded, “Hi! Thank you for calling me the equestrian, not the actress. I like that.”
This isn’t to say that Kaley doesn’t love her job at Big Bang. She’s had ten years of fun on the Warner Brother’s set. We just have to believe she likes to be taken seriously in the equestrian world. She wants her accomplishments in horseback riding to stand on their own.
When asked what she’s working on, she said, “I think that’s what’s so amazing about this sport, what are we not working on?” She stays competitive by constantly trying to up her game. She also said that horse shows bring a certain mental challenge that she enjoys.
Sharing A Passion With Her Fiance
Back in December Karl Cook proposed to Kaley. The couple are now engaged, and couldn’t be happier. The pair share a passion for the sport, as well as a general love for animals. Kaley even competed against Karl at this particular competition. She said, “We always give each other a bunch of ribbing before we go…Karl’s a beautiful rider, and I love that he’s in my life and I can learn so much from him. He’s got a wonderful brain and he loves the horses. I think that’s what I love about him. He truly… the horse comes first. And that’s where we come from as well.”
Kaley Cuoco also revealed that “after Big Bang I’d really like to focus on my riding, and traveling a bit with Karl.” We hope she continues to act in some capacity, but we’re so glad she’s found a love for both Karl and riding.
