Digital Spy writes:

“As the show gears up for the 11th season after the cast struck last minute deals to keep the show running for a couple more years, it’s been hinted that the end could now be in sight for the wildly popular CBS sitcom.”

“Co-creator Chuck Lorre recently suggested that we could see the last of the gang after the two guaranteed seasons 11 and 12. “We never really figured to be at year 11, let alone what’s going to happen after 12,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.”

“One could easily presume that would be the end of the series but I’m just amazed we’re here.”

The head of CBS Entertainment Kelly Kahl has said they’ll keep the show going as long as they can. In the meantime, everyone is also working on the spinoff, Young Sheldon, which will also start up in the fall.

The show should reveal some inside jokes from The Big Bang Theory and it’s possible we’ll even learn a little about Sheldon’s dad, while the boy grows up as a genius in Texas.

For now, fans are dying to know if Amy is going to say “Yes” to Sheldon’s proposal after last year’s cliffhanger.

Do you think The Big Bang Theory could go beyond 12 seasons?
